February 21, 2025 Practical Advice Regarding Tariffs: What should you be doing now?

Friday, February 21, 2025 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (CST)

Description

Citing a national emergency under the International Emergency Powers Act, President Donald Trump recently announced a series of tariffs on imports from Canada, China, and Mexico. The tariffs were later paused on Canada and Mexico for thirty days which expires on March 4, 2025.

A later presidential announcement included imposition of Section 232 tariffs on all imported steel and aluminum to protect industries from unfair trade practices and global excess capacity with some limited exemptions.

New tariffs are being discussed nearly every day. What should manufacturers be doing now and how can they navigate tariffs?

Presenters will discuss the current state of tariff proposals along with:

  • Supply chain mapping and care
  • Risk assessment
  • Import Compliance
  • Tariff mitigation strategies
  • Tariff-saving possibilities
  • Contract review and updates
