August 6, 2026 Energy Managers Group: Community Solar

Thursday, August 6, 2026 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (CDT)

Description

Please join us for our next meeting of the Energy Managers Group as we discuss cost saving opportunities.

Community Solar in Illinois is a state-enabled program that lets homes, businesses, and organizations tap into clean, locally generated solar energy without installing any panels of their own — and it's easy for customers to participate.

Participants pay for their share of clean energy at a fixed, discounted rate — typically around 10%, producing reliable cost savings on their utility bills with no change to how their electricity is delivered and no upfront investment.

Beyond the savings, participation supports local grid resilience and sustainability, advances Illinois's renewable energy goals, and offers an easy, low effort win for manufacturers.

Members with responsibility in the energy space are invited to these quarterly meetings to review a dedicated topic and learn ideas for better preparing in a time of uncertainty and transition. Participants can discuss pricing, contract transparency, and buying strategies – and learn best practices directly from peers and the experts at Constellation, the IMA’s exclusive energy partner for more than 20 years.

We share success stories, key takeaways, and tools to help build resiliency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and reduce costs.
