Manufacturing Miles Individual Registration

The Illinois Manufacturers' Association and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois are proud to announce the third annual Manufacturing Miles competition, a free program to promote health and wellness among manufacturing workers. Whether it’s walking, running, biking, swimming, or any other form of exercise that can be measured in miles, we’ve designed a fun competition that will help improve employees’ health and encourage wellness in the workplace. We have made quite a few changes to the competition this year from the length, your milestone targets, additional prizes, and more! Please see below for more info:

This year, the competition begins tracking Manufacturing Miles from June 5, 2023, through October 15, 2023. Please note that there will be a registration deadline this year. All teams and participants must be registered on or before July 3, 2023.

We heard from many of you that you would like to see the winning categories adjusted, and we listened! This year, teams will be categorized in 5 tiers based on team size rather than company size. The winning team in each of the 5 tiers, as well as the team with the highest participation (based on miles per participant), and the top 3 individuals will receive recognition at the IMA Annual Luncheon on December 8, 2023. The tiers will be broken down as follows:

Tier 1: (1-10 participants)

Tier 2: (11-25 participants)

Tier 3: (26-50 participants)

Tier 4: (51-100 participants)

Tier 5: (101+ participants)

Because categories are ranked by team size, the registration deadline of July 3, 2023 is firm.
