The newly launched Small Manufacturers’ Association is gaining momentum and delivering real value for Illinois’ small manufacturing community. Designed exclusively for manufacturers with 150 employees or fewer, this monthly forum brings IMA members together to connect, collaborate, and tackle the unique challenges facing smaller operations.


This month, we’re zeroing in on one of the most critical priorities for every manufacturer: workforce safety. SMC Chair Nirel Inman, President of Chicago Glue & Machine, will kick off a thoughtful conversation with Aaron Gelb, Partner at Conn Maciel Carey, to explore practical strategies that strengthen safety culture and reduce risk.


Our discussion will cover effective training approaches, top safety mistakes small manufacturers can make and ideas for actions you can implement immediately. It’s the perfect opportunity to prepare for June’s Safety Month and ensure your team is equipped with the right tools and knowledge.
