A message from Mark Denzler: IMA President & CEO: Earlier this year, the IMA signed a regional agreement establishing a formal Alliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), U.S. Department of Labor, and the Illinois On-Site Safety and Health Consultation Program. This exciting collaboration is designed to strengthen workplace safety and health practices across Illinois manufacturing facilities. 

Through this Alliance, industry professionals will have opportunities to learn about the latest safety best practices, regulatory updates, National, Regional and Local Emphasis Programs, and the rights and responsibilities of employers and workers. 

Join Us for Our First Alliance Meeting! I invite you to join me at our inaugural (virtual) meeting and help shape the future of this important initiative for Illinois food manufacturers. 

At this kickoff you'll learn about: 

  • The goals and vision of the IMA/OSHA Alliance Best practices for reducing or eliminating worker exposure to hazards associated with operating food production machinery 
  • A practical Sanitation Process Audit Checklist to enhance safety and compliance 
  • Update from OSHA on Special Emphasis Programs impacting food manufacturers and the OSHA Cares initiative 
  • Opportunities to engage, collaborate, and actively participate in this new Alliance
